1915 GAA match programme found
This week we have received an original of a 1915 match programme from a double-header in the camogie league in Dublin on Sunday 19th September 1915.
The Meath team played Dublin North (see team details) and Dublin South played Louth.
The Meath team was captained by Miss M Wall who was the goalkeeper and a member of the Killeen club.
She is featured in the programme as follows:
Miss M Wall first played with Kilmessan in 1912 and when that team disbanded she joined the Killeen 12, now undoubtedly the best team in the county.
She is a player of exceptional ability, fast, and is both reliable and resourceful.
Her work on the wing is of immense value to her side and her passes to goal are so well-judged and so accurate that opposing backs always dread her attacks.
Has figured already against Dublin at Killeen, against St Margaret's at Ratoath and against Emeralds (Drogheda) at Cushenstown.
The panel for the game was: (see team list from programme)
