Action from today's Div 2 Camogie final between Kildalkey NS and Boyerstown NS

Plenty of joy and pain on display in finals

The joy of victory and the agony of defeat was to be seen at Trim GAA grounds today as the Meath Primary Schools' Hurling and Camogie finals were staged.

For the winners of the eight finals there was the joy that went with securing victory while for the losers the pain of defeat was a hard lesson to absorb.

The games kicked-off at 9am this morning and continued throughout the day with Kiltale the first team to claim a piece of silverware in the Div 3 Camogie final defeating a gallant Longwood NS side,  5-3 to 0-2.

From then on the games were played in rapid succession with throw-ins following hard on the heels of cup presentations.

Among the teams that went on to carve out victories, that will surely be long remembered in the respective schools, were Kill NS  (Div 2 Hurling), Kildalkey NS (Div 1 Hurling), Baconstown NS (Div 1 Camogie), Boyerstown NS (Div 2 Camogie), Rathregan NS (Div 4 Hurling), Kilbride NS, Trim (Div 3 Hurling) and St Colmcille's (Shield Hurling).

All the teams involved can be proud of the entertainment they served up and the high level of skils that were on display
