O'Mahonys maintain challenge for SHC qualification
Navan O'Mahonys manager James Burke saw his team revive their hopes of booking a place in the knock-out stages of the SHC with an impressive 3-16 to 3-8 victory against Blackhall Gaels at Trim last night.
Philly Carey's goal gave Blackhall the perfect start, but O'Mahonys responded well to lead 2-7 to 1-3 at the interval with the goals from Mikey Kelly helping the Navan men to that seven-point interval advantage.
Kelly finished with 2-4 to his credit, but scoring honours on the night went to Carey with 3-4.
The Navan men resumed the second-half on the front foot with an impressive Jack Walsh's 36th minute point and Brian Dunne netted
from Paddy Skehan's delivery to seal the win.
