Some roads impassable due to flooding

Flooding has been causing problems on roads around County Meath this afternoon following persistent rainfall overnight and this morning.

Part of the Commons Road in Navan has experienced flooding and there is also flooding on the N51 Slane-Drogheda road. Also under water is a section of the Trim-Kildalkey road and a section of Metges Road in Johnstown, close to the IDA Business Park.

There is also flooding on the Ratoath to Skryne road and the Carlanstown to Moynalty road has been reported impassable due to flodwaters as well as the Ballinlough to Millbrook road.

There has also been flooding in Batterstown with the fire service being asked to assist in pumping water near Caffrey's pub.
