Round Towers bid for glory

Round Towers will bid to bridge a 14-year gap when they take on Donaghmore / Ashbourne in the MFC decider following their semi-final victory over Duleek / Bellewstown at Dunganny last week. After a slow start during which both sides struggled Round Towers seized the initiative when Michael Newman scored two goals before Duleek / Bellewstown rallied to trail by 1-2 to 2-3 at the break. Thomas Carry stretched Round Towers lead after the resumption and while Duleek / Bellewstown did respond it was the Drumbaragh, Gaeil Colmcille and Kilmainham combination that remained in control and strolled to an emphatic win.
