The National Chamber Choir will close the Solstice Festival in Navan on Friday night.

The National Chamber Choir of Ireland visits Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, this Friday 25th June, with the performance bringing to a close the Solstice Festival. Widely regarded as Ireland's most distinguished choral ensemble, the National Chamber Choir is celebrated both nationally and internationally for its fresh and innovative sound. The choir was founded in 1991 by the composer and conductor, Colin Mawby and was developed under the direction of the Brazilian conductor Celso Antunes until early 2007. In 2008, the internationally celebrated conductor Paul Hillier joined the group as artistic director and chief conductor. For this concert NCC perform a delectable programme conducted by Paul Hillier entitled 'Love, Birds and War - An evening of French Music'. The programme includes Janequin's 'Le Chant des Oiseaux' and 'La Guerre', Poulenc's 'Sept Chansons' and Debussy's 'Trois Chansons'. Tickets are €15 and €12 concession rate or three tickets for €40.
