A special message on one of the many mirrors in The Central.

Central celebrates first birthday

Michael and Tara Gavigan of the hugely popular Central in the heart of Navan hosted a first birthday party this evening to mark one year in business since they opened 12 months ago.

Michael Gavigan highlighted the efforts of his staff as one of the reasons for a successful first year.

And those staff members were on hand from ealy this evening as preparations were made to host all the guests in fine style with a number of options availble on the enttertainment front.

Two different types of live music, one outside and the  other inside, as well as the 'big game' live on the big screen kept the guests on the their toes.

There was a great cheer and an equally great groan as Shane Long gave the Republic of Ireland the lead at Wembley and Frank Lampard equalised for England although one guest was overheard saying 'what game is that' as he explained that he was more interested in rugby.

The guests sampled the generous amounts of food and also managed to pose for photographs without too much persusasion needed.

'Will it be in the Chronicle' was the main query before agreement was reached and of course everyone was told 'yes it will' and they believed.
