Andrews to stay on

Meath senior hurling manager John Andrews announced this morning that he intends to fulfil his three-year agreement and will remain in charge for at least another 12 months. Following a disappointing Christy Ring Cup campaign which resulted in Meath failing to qualify from a group that included Kerry and Mayo, it was felt that Andrews would reconsider his position. After a taking a break to consider his options, Andrews confirmed to the Meath Chronicle this morning (Monday) that he would stay on. 'After a discussion with selectors Colm Lynch and Paul Donnelly, we decided to give it another shot.'
