Cliona Hagan racing to Fairyhouse
During an interview on RTE’s Late Late Late Show Country special, Queen of Country Music, Philomena Begley, predicted that newcomer Cliona Hagan would very quickly make her mark on the Irish and UK country music scene. True to those words Cliona has indeed taken the scene by storm, and will be performing at Fairyhouse Races on Wednesday evening, 18th July.
It has been an amazing couple of years for Cliona, filled with awards nights, festivals, cabaret and shows. She was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the prestigious Irish Post Country Music Awards and was the opening act at Aiken Promotions Harvest Country Music Festival. Cliona is about to release her second album, ‘Secret Love’ which features already released hit singles ‘Born to Run’, ‘Stop Cheating On Me’ and ‘McCarthy’s Party’.
Cliona will be supported at Fairyhouse by local country music legends Ray Murtagh and Shane O’Neill. The music will follow a competitive night’s racing which starts at 5.40pm. The popular bumper bundle package includes admission, racecard, tote voucher and a burger is available online for only €25 per person and is an ideal way to arrange for a group to enjoy an evening at the races.
“We are delighted to have Cliona playing after racing on Wednesday, and we look forward to welcoming her loyal fans,” says racecourse manager, Peter Roe.
