Nina foiled at Nenagh

Silver Birch return delayed due to the weather conditions. Today's North Tipperary point-to-point at Nenagh has been postponed due to the poor weather conditions. The action will now take place next Saturday, 7th February. Nina Carberry was due to ride 2007 Aintree Grand National winner Silver Birch on his return to action today. Silver Birch, ridden by Kilmessan man Jason Maguire, chased home the Nina Carberry-partnered Headsontheground at Cheltenham in 2007. Trainer Gordon Elliott then went on to win the big race at Aintree, but ruled his Grand National winner Silver Birch out for the season in October 2007 The grey gelding knocked his leg and a subsequent scan showed enough damage to force the lay-off.
