The Flaws kick off their autumn tour in The Lantern

The Flaws kick off their autumn tour in Navan this weekend with an appearance in the Backroom Sessions in The Lantern. The Flaws have spent much of their summer playing festivals at home and abroad, from a brilliant set at Glastonbury where they played the Leftfield Stage to a packed tent and very well received audience to Castlepalooza where they woowed the crowd into a dancing frenzy and left them screaming for more. The band"s festival season ended with a much anticipated appearance on The Crawdaddy Stage at Electric Picnic. The Flaws autumn tour kicks off in Navan on Friday 12th September and will see the band return to many of their favourite venues where they have built up a solid fan base and a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in the country. Many of these venues were sold out on their previous tour. Their set will feature some new material which the lads have been working on over the last couple of months and are very excited about playing to their audience. 'Idolise", taken from their Choice Nominated debut album 'Achieving Vagueness", will be issued to radio in September as a promo only single to coincide with the tour. The track was recently chosen by RTE as the music for their Euro 2008 closer. The specially recorded video piece was watched by over 600,000 viewers. A trip to Italy is on the cards for late 2008. Having released 'Achieving Vagueness", and toured there in March of this year the lads are looking forward to returning to the beautiful Milan to play some dates. 'Sixteen", is still receiving airplay on Italian radio and the video is also receiving plays on MTV Italy. This new tour is presented with funding from the Music Network Performance and Touring Award.
