Elliott settling in well

Popular young Meath trainer Gordon Elliott, the inaugural winner of the Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotel Group Sportsperson of the year in 2007, is settling in well at his new training facility in Longwood. Elliott moved to his new training centre a few weeks ago and has already sent out a number of winners from the establishment which is set on close to 80 acres near the Meath village. The trainer had an open day yesterday and guests were impressed with the facilities that include stables for 80 horses and both a sand gallop and a woodchip gallop. Elliott scooped the Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotel Group award for 2007, presented in January 2008 for his magnificient achievement in training the winner of the Aintree Grand National - Silver Birch.
