Death of Lynda Moran, mother of actor Dylan

We are deeply saddened here at Meath Chronicle to learn of the death today of Lynda Moran of the Boyne Road in Navan, a lady who we often chatted to on Timmons Hill and Market Square as she walked in and out of town passed our offices.

A poet, she was a most interesting character whose love of culture and nature and the simple things in life were evident.

Lynda featured in our archive photo book, Meath Life Through the Lens, a couple of years ago, from a poetry reading at the famous Suzie's Cookhouse on Watergate Street, with Jim McDonnell and Tom Murphy (reproduced here).

Her love of culture and creativity obviously passed on to her son, the actor and comedian, Dylan Moran, and sympathy is extended to him, her husband, Richard, daughter-in-law, Elaine, grandchildren, Beth and Max, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to the recent government guidelines regarding public gatherings a private cremation will take place.
