Meath comedians are Little Crackers

Meath native comedians Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran and Sharon Horgan will each front their own comedy short for Sky One's 'Little Crackers' series this year. The trio will take a trip down memory lane as they recount memories from their childhood for the Christmas series. Tiernan has made a name for himself both in Ireland and abroad on the stand-up circuit, regularly featuring on the 'Late Show with David Letterman' in the US. Moran, another regular on the comedy circuit since the early 90s, has had previous roles in comedies such as 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Run Fatboy Run' alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Horgan is a BAFTA-winning writer whose BBC sitcom 'Pulling' has just been picked up by ABC for a US version. 'Little Crackers', due to air Christmas time 2012, is now in its third series and continues to showcase the best of Irish and British comedy by allowing comedians write and star in their own shorts. Also signed up this year is Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly), Katy Brand (Nanny McPhee), Alison Steadman (Abigail's Party), Darren Boyd (Spy), Rebecca Front (The Thick of It), Omid Djalili (The Mummy), and Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), who will take on her directing debut with her own short. Paul O'Grady and Jason Manford will also participate by shooting their shorts in 3D, a first for the 'Little Crackers' series.
