Gardaí in Kells received a report of the BMW being driven dangerously at the town"s Mullingar Road around 7.30pm on Saturday evening and the patrol cars followed it on the N3 prior to the crash, in which no-one else was injured. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Two men, described as 'innocent passers-by' by local gardaí, were set upon by a number of people at Archdeaconry Glebe, Kells, between 1am and 1.20am last Sunday morning. The two suffered injuries and were later discharged from Our Lady"s Hospital, Navan. The victims were locals and extensive garda inquiries are continuing to establish the identity of their assailants.
