New MDL season ready to kick-off

THE new MDL season kicks off on Friday, 15th August with listed home fixtures for teams with floodlights. The new teams joining the league include Cavan Town, Parkvilla, Donore Rovers was well as Boyne Athletic and Grove Rangers from Drogheda and Navan based side Boca Rovers. Navan Cosmos got the Meath & District League Top Four pre-season competition off to a winning start under new manager, former Trim Celtic boss, Alan Kirwin with a comprehensive victory over Rock celtic 5-0. Muredach McAndrew netted twice in the opening half, while Stephen Ivers was also on target to give the Meath team a comfortable interval lead. Thomas Adamczyk and Laurence Ivers added goals after the resumption to seal the easy win.
