Crash at Chronicle junction
Early-morning traffic in Navan this morning was disrupted for a short period from around 7.15 - 8.00am following a two-car collision at the Meath Chronicle junction.
It is not abundantly clear what caused the collision between the two vehicles at this stage and no information is available at this time.
The weather conditions were good at the time.
It appears as if one vehicle was travelling on the R 147 (old N3) in the direction of Kells and the other may have been going in the opposite direction or heading for Kentstown, but this is unconfirmed.
Local Gardai were quickly on the scene followed soon after by an ambulance and two units of the local fire brigade.
A recovery vehicle arrived after that and removed the damaged vehicles shortly after 8.00am which opened the routes again for Navan's rush-hour traffic.
