Kells Dads in saddle again for charity bike event

Kells Dads' Cycle is gearing up for its eighth annual charity bike ride which takes place from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July. The participants will cycle from Kells to Ennis on the Friday and return to Kells on the Sunday. Over the last eight years, the cyclists have raised over €80,000 for worthy causes in the Kells area. One of the highlights of last year's event to Thurles was when the cyclists were joined on the last leg of their journey from Clonmellon to Kells by various members of local clubs, all wearing their club gear. It is hoped to repeat that again this year and anyone interested in participating is asked to meet at the Church in Clonmellon at 3.45pm on the Sunday afternoon wearing their club colours. All donations on the day will be gratefully accepted. There will also be a fundraising table quiz taking place in McCormack's bar in Moynalty this Friday, 15th June, at 9pm. Table of four are €40. The charity cycle owes a great debt of gratitude to the continued support of Kells Windows Restoration Systems, who have been the main sponsor of Kells Dads' Cycle over the past eight years.
