Death of Dr Paddy Randles
The death occurred this morning, in his early nineties, of Dr Paddy Randles of Navan, Dublin Road, Navan.
Dr Randles was high profile in the late 1960s and early 1970s as he promoted a greater understanding of pre-school education for children. He was also responsible in 1969 for shedding light on the treatment being meted out to school children around Navan by certain members of the De La Salle Order.
He is survived by his wife, Dr Mary Randles, (nee Wymes), family, Sandra, Anne, Mia, Aisling and Paddy, daughter-in-law Ciara, grandchildren, extended family and many friends, all of whom sympathy is extended.
He will be reposing at his home on Thursday 13th July from 4pm-8pm. Removal on Friday afternoon to Mount Jerome Crematorium, arriving at 3pm for a Humanist Service. Family flowers only please.
