1,900 Leaving Certificate students get exam results
Over 1,900 Meath students are anxiously making their way to second-level schools across the county this morning (Wednesday) to collect their Leaving Certificate results. A total of 1,788 students sat the Leaving Certificate, while 129 students sat the Leaving Certificate Applied programme in the county, last June. Among those who sat their Leaving Certificate were 872 girls and 916 boys, while 55 girls and 74 boys took the Applied examination. Nationally, a total of 55,815 students completed Leaving Cert examinations this year. Results were available for collection in local secondary schools from this morning (Wednesday). However, students who are not in a position to obtain their results from their school can log on to www.examinations.ie from 12 midday to view their results or access their results by telephone, using their candidate number and PIN.
