Trim students, staff acknowledge achievements

Students and staff of Scoil Mhuire, Trim, came together recently to acknowledge the achievements of a students at a prize-giving ceremony. Students from first year to sixth year were honoured for their achievements in a variety of areas. The events were hosted by principal Jackie Maher and vice principal Liz Johnston, along with the year heads and other members of staff. In all, over 500 certificates were presented in areas such as ethos, academic achievement, personal achievement, attendance, sport, choir and other subject areas. Both Ms Maher and Ms Johnston praised the efforts of all those who received awards and thanked them for their contribution to the school. Students were reminded that while Scoil Mhuire has an excellent record in academic achievement, the emphasis is also on encouraging each student to achieve their full potential. Leaving Certificate students celebrated with a special graduation Mass and best wishes were extended to them as they prepared to sit the State examinations.
