A life down under... Apprentices wanted at Tara Mines

Boliden Tara Mines is looking for apprentices at its Knockumber facility in Navan to join its 5,800 strong global workforce.
Tara Mines is looking for applications for the positions of Mechancial and Electrical Instrumentation apprentices as well as Geo-Drilling apprentices.
"Boliden Tara Mines now offer excellent opportunities to avail of first-class training in the skills and knowledge required as a Geo Driller leading to a Higher Certificate qualification (level6).
The apprenticeship is a two year programme which combines 'on-the-job' work experience with academic study. Apprentices will train in Tara for 41 weeks and attend classes at IT Carlow for 11 weeks per year.
Candidates, who must be at least 18 years old, must have passed the Leaving Certificate with a minimum of five passes on Ordinary level subjects, which must include English and Maths. "Applicants must be technically strong and have robust safety awareness."
