Three wins for Meath teams

Meath teams fared well on Saturday in All-Ireland competitions. The minor footballers advanced to the All-Ireland MFC semi-final with a 2-9 to 0-10 victory over Tipperary at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise. Meath were ahead by 2-4 to 0-4 at the break with the goals coming from Michael Newman and Andrew Tormey. Meath minor hurlers advanced to the All-Ireland MHC B semi-final with a 2-16 to 2-9 victory over Kerry at Pairc Tailteann. Meath advanced to the All-Ireland Junior Camogie final with a good win over Carlow in a game that started at 2pm instead of the scheduled 4pm which appeared in our fixture list this week.
