No stopping Nina

Nina Carberry maintained her good form at Kilbeggan on Saturday ahead of her trip to Australia. She got Kalico Kim up close home in the bumper after the likely looking winner, Britannicus, hung badly left with the race at his mercy. Oulart finally won over fences when he responded to Cortown jockey Roger Loughran to win the handicap chase in a downpour. The Dessie Hughes-trained nine-year-old, which finished second in the Irish Grand National two years ago, won by four lengths. Noel Meade teamed-up with former jockey Denis O'Regan to win a beginners' chase with Oscar's Haven. Tony Martin was also on the mark when he won the 50th running of the Joe Cooney Memorial Chase with Fakima under Ruby Walsh.
