Nina heading Down Under

Nina Carberry has been selected on the Irish team for the annual trip to Australia. She will be a member of the team for the annual Ireland v Australia national hunt challenge. The team will be under the guidance of Ashbourne man Sean Lynch who has been involved with this initiative since the outset. Nina will be joined by Katie Walsh and the two ladies will be the first female representatives on the Irish team which will be completed by Shane Jackson from Wicklow and Alain Cawley from Galway. The Irish contingent will depart on Monday,11th August and will compete at Gawler and Morphettville in Adelaide, Sandown (Melbourne), Bendigo and Moonee Valley. Nina has already scooped a monthly nomination in the 2008 Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotels Personality-of-the-Year awards. *See the next edition of the Meath Chronicle for more on this story.
