Ratoath send Kiltale into relegation play-off

Ratoath shaped up for the JUbilee Cup and sent Kiltale into the SHC Group A relegation play-off following this merited and narrow 0-19 to 2-12 victory at Pairc Tailteann this evening.

Kiltale will most likely face either Longwood or Killyon in that play-off and the picture will be clearer after tomorrow's result from the game between Killyon and Longwood.

KIltale started well and had a goal from Fearghal McCabe in only 18 seconds, they were ahead by 1-1 to 0-1 after three minutes and were denied a further goal when Mark O'Sullivan was denied by a smart Ger Crowley intervention for Ratoath.

However, that was nearly as good as it got for Kiltale and they trailed by 0-14 to 1-6 at the interval Padraig O'Hanrahan (four) and Gavin McGowan (five) the main marksmen for wind-assisted Ratoath.

KIltale gave it their best shot after the resumption, but it wasn't until well into added time that they got the deficit down to the minumum when Jack Regan found the net with the last puck of the game.
