The robbers are inside the banks

Dear sir - As I walked towards the post office in Trim, I noticed a large traffic tailback up Emmet Street. On reaching Market Street, I discovered this was caused by a Garda patrol car, followed by a Brinks security van with a green 4 X 4 army jeep on the busy narrow junction, soldiers alongside with guns at the ready. The penny dropped - AIB was getting another delivery of cash. In light of the billions lost by the banks and the financial institutions, highlighted by the €87 million loan involving departed chairman of Anglo Irish Bank, Sean Fitzpatrick, surely it"s time to put the guys with the guns inside the banks and forget the expensive sham of gardai and the army providing security subsidised by Irish taxpayers outside, when the real threat comes from within! Yours, Cllr Phil Cantwell, Trim.
