Five for Gordon Elliott at Down Royal
Summerhill man Gordon Elliott was on fire today at Down Royal with five winners on the seven-race card.
Elliott landed the feature, the Ladbrokes Champion Chase, with The Storyteller and Dunshaughlin man Keith Donoghue just getting the better of Chris's Dream.
Winner number one for Elliott came in the opener when Quilixios enhanced his reputation winning the three-year-old hurdle.
Ballyadam completed a quick double for the trainer, jockey Jack Kennedy and owners Cheveley Park Stud in the Tayto Group Maiden Hurdle.
Battleoverdoyen made it four when he claimed the Grade 2 Lough Construction Ltd Chase with Mark Walsh on board and Elliott completed the tally when landing the concluding bumper with the Jamie Codd-partnered Sir Gerhard, also owned by Cheveley Park Stud.
Elliott had three winners at the Ulster track yesterday.
