Meath get set for trip to Carlow next Saturday
Meath hurlers go to Carlow for the next round of the Joe McDonagh Cup knowing that a win will put them back into contention for a place in the final.
However, the big game next weekend will be the game between unbeaten Kerry and Antrim with the winner of that tie almost guaranteed a place in the decider.
Today Kerry proved too strong for hosts Westmeath winning by 2-19 to 0-14 while Carlow and Antrim played out a high-scoring draw.
Westmeath and Meath remain pointless at the bottom of the table, but the men from the Lake County have lost twice. Last weekend Meath lost to Kerry by 10 points while today Westmeath lost to the Munster side by 11 points.
