Keane hits 100 in the last

2020 champion flat jockey is the title Colin Keane takes to the USA this week after he hit the 100-winner mark at the Curragh today.

Leaving it late to get there, Keane made it a 100 for the season in the last race on the card on the top weight Sarah Dawson-trained Pretty Boy Floyd.

There was a Meath flavour to the finish with Keane on the winner ahead of the Dunboyne duo of trainer Jack Davison Glow Worm and Too Hard To Hold

Keane was champion jockey for the first time in 2017.

Last year he had 103 winners, but that was only good enough for runner-up position.

He was second to Donnacha O'Brien last year and in 2018, but now has the title back in the Royal County after a fine season that still could deliver more success.

The Trim man will be on his way the USA tomorrow to ride at the Breeders' Cup where the Ger Lyons-trained Siskin has an entry in the Breeders' Cup Mile.

The 2020 Breeders' Cup will be run behind closed doors.
