Gibney maintains winning form
Trainer Tom Gibney maintained his recent good form with his fourth winner in 10 days at Navan yesterday.
Gibney landed the handicap chase with 40/1 outsider Stoughan Cross to add to the wins of Regina Dracones at Fairyhouse, Hannon at Dundalk and Razzle Dazzle Love at Punchestown since 8th December.
"It's fantastic to get a win with him, especially as his owner Jim Nevin is a local man, hopefully that will put a smile on his face," said Gibney.
Gordon Elliott completed a double when Sir Gerhard enhanced his growing reputation when winning the listed bumper.
The Summerhill man had earlier won a maiden hurdle with Percy Warner.
There was also a visit to the winners' enclosure for trainer Ann Mooney who sent out Pino Boy to win a handicap hurdle.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained Jukebox Jive had plenty to spare when winning the valuable Tara Handicap hurdle.
