Minors well beaten

Meath minor hurlers were well beaten in the Leinster MHC Shield semi-final by Kildare at Clane last Tuesday evening. Meath were never in the hunt and trailed by 1-4 to 1-10 at the interval. Manager Vinnie Guy was very disappointed with the result. 'We will have to focus on the All-Ireland B against Mayo now, but I thought we would win that game,' he told the Meath Chronicle.
