Seven up works for Clancy's men
Tim Clancy took his Drogheda Utd side to Waterford today for a League of Ireland Premier encounter with a difference.
It was literally men against boys as hosts Waterford fulfilled the fixture with the club's under-19 team after the HSE advised that the senior players shouldn't feature due to a number of close contacts re Covid-19.
The young Waterford lacked noting in effort and determination, but for Drogheda it was a comfortable three points and a significant boost to the goal difference as they won by 7-0.
In the other games today Bohemians beat Finn Harps 4-0 with Ashbourne man Dawson Devoy producing another fine performance while Skryne man James Finnerty was prominent in the centre of the defence.
Shamrock Rovers extended their unbeaten run with a late winner against hosts St Pat's for a 2-1 victory.
