Tom Gibney on the mark at the Curragh
Meath trainer Tom Gibney made it into the winners' enclosure at the Curragh when landing the last on the opening evening of the action-packed high quality weekend.
Gibney was on the mark with Magic Chegaga which was formerly trained by Dermot Weld and formerly owned by Moyglare Stud.
Running this evening for the first time for the Irish Grand National-winning trainer Magic Chegaga was sold for €12,500 to the Magic Lads Syndicate and recouped half of that outlay with a smart win under Oisin Orr.
“She was very well bought by Brian Duffy and we were delighted to have her from day one. She has a fantastic attitude and a lovely pedigree that we don’t normally get," stated Gibney to irishracing.com
There was a Meath winner to the opener also as Ger Lyons and Colin Keane were on the mark with newcomer Beauty Inspire.
