No bother for Siobhan Rutledge at Gowran

Talented Meath jockey Siobhan Rutledge added another winner to her tally today at Gowran Park and enhanced her reputation in the process.

Edged out at Naas on Wednesday when second on the John McConnell-trained Beleaguerment, the duo returned to action at the Kilkenny track today and landed the Thomastown Apprentice Handicap.

Rutledge displayed all her skills when getting up on the inside rail to win by three parts of length from the Pat Flynn-trained Accessory.

Commenting in typical Meath style post-race to irishracing.com Rutledge said of Beleaguerment - “He handles that ground no bother."
