WATCH: Motorcyclists converge on Navan to provide escort for Jack Oliver's final journey home

A large crowd of family, friends and members of the wider motorbike community turned out on Thursday in Navan to form a guard of honour and escort the remains of Northern Irish rider Jack Oliver to his final resting place.

The 22-year-old from Limavady died at the Kells Road Race after he came off his Kawaski motorbike in the Supersport race at the Crossakiel circuit.

In an emotional video Jack's family said the family are broken hearted and pleaded for space.

"We are going today to bring him home on his last wee journey,” Mr Oliver’s father Tommy says in the clip.

"We’re all broken-hearted. Please just give us a wee bit of space tonight and everybody is more than welcome tomorrow and Saturday to say their wee farewells".

The escort will make it's way home Dundalk, Newry, Belfast, Dungiven before reaching Limavady.

Funeral will be leaving his late home 39 Rose Park, Limavady on Sunday at 1pm for service in Carrick Parish Church at 2pm followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 3pm.

Jack is survived by his parents Tommy and Julie, his siblings Robbie and Emma, sister in law Emma and partner Lucy.
