Moynalvey's Adam Murphy is chased by Curraha's Brian Joyce in this evening's SFC clash.

Moynalvey show cutting edge to win with comfort

Their on their way but how far will they go?

That was one of the questions that hung in the air in Skryne this evening as Moynalvey, with the help of eight points from Cillian O'Sullivan, powered their way to a 0-15 to 0-7 victory over Curraha in the SFC Group B.

Helped by a willingness to work hard and effectiveness in closing down their opponents Moynalvey led 0-5 to 0-2 at the break in a contest that rarely rose above the mundane.

That won't matter to Moynalvey (and why should it?) as they did what they started out to do and won with Cillian O'Sullivan in fine form.

David McLoughlin also made a hefty contribution with three points.

Moynalvey were also awarded a late penalty when O'Sullivan was brought down. The same payer stepped up to take the spot-kick but hit it wide.

Little went right for Curraha who had Neil Shortall sent off just before the end also.

They struggled to convert possession into scores getting only one point from play in the opening half.

James McEntee three super scores in the second-half while Diarmuid Moriarty also lofted over three points over the hour but they needed much more to trouble a formidable Moynalvey side who looked sharp and driven.
