BIG Entrepreneurial awards for young Navan men

A YOUNG Navan man won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Black and Irish awards show, the BIG (Black Irish Group) Awards.

Emmanuel Mawoyeka, also known as ‘Manni the Barber’, is a young self-employed man who is a professional barber and CEO of MTBcutz. He opened up his first barber shop in Dundalk 2021 and opened up his second shop in Drogheda this month.

Manni and his team contribute to delivering haircuts and hairstyles to the people within the black and Irish community.

Another young Navan man, Ola Bakare represented 'Created in Eire', in Organisation of the Year. As Created in Èire’s recruitment agent, Ola Bakare plays an important role in engaging with individuals across Ireland with talent and ambition.

Created in Eire is an organisation that promotes content creators, musicians and businesses in Ireland through social media. Its aim is to create new businesses for Ireland and allow the young talent to gain recognition within the entertainment industry. He plays a key part in promoting Irish businesses.

Ola has also recently become a student ambassador at ATU Sligo, which he will be engaging with inquiries, conducting campus tours, attending career fairs, innovating market strategies and accompanying academic staff.
