Davy Joyce is an Irish champion who will looking to make an impact in Poland in the coming week.

Meath boxers prepare to make an impact on international stages

Two boxers from the Navan area are putting the finishing touches to their preparations for tournaments in different parts of Europe.

Davy Joyce travels to Poland to box in the Felixsstamm International which will be staged from Sunday 21st to Saturday 27th May.

David Nevin meanwhile will make his way to Eindhoven to take part in the Endhoven Cup competition which takes place from Thursday 25th May to Thursday 30th May.

Both boxers are members of the Holy Family Boxing Club in Drogheda.

Joyce is the present 60kg Irish elite champion while Nevin is the current 92kg Irish u-22 champion.
