Paddy's Blue hit red-hot form to complete remarkable double

The formidable Paddy's Blue team won the Jerome Lyness Cup and league title (The Charlie Ward Cup) inside ten days to complete a remarkable double recently in the Charlie Ward Navan Darts League.

After defeating Dolly's and The Lantern respectively they completed the double.

Dolly's were defeated 5-2 in the Knockout final in Fox's Bar and The Lantern selection were overcome in P Clarke's in the League showdown.

The Lantern raced into a 2-0 lead after winning the first two doubles games with Mark Clinton and Stephen Andrews beating Ivan Coyne and Stephen Lyness.

Then Stewart Lanney and Ryan Lanney defeated Gordon Godd and Conor Rattigan.

Paddy's Blue got back on level terms ( 2-2 ) after Rattigan and Paul Joyce beat Damien Cahill and Dave Kealy respectively.

Mark Clinton put The Lantern 3-2 after beating Ivan Coyne but Paddy's Blue went on to win the the three games as Stephen Lyness, Gordon Godd and Darren O'Connell beat Stephen Andrews, Stewart Lanney and Ryan Lanney respectively to give Paddy's Blue the title.
