Proposal for play park at Fair Green, Oldcastle

Meath County Council proposes to carry out the re-development of the Fair Green, Railway Yard, Oldcastle.

They wish to facilitate a play park with an area of 4,980 m.sq.

Multi-use games court, informal sports courts, skate track, exercise equipment, open green spaces and picnic seating are among the ideas for the development.

They will retain the high natural stone walls located on the site as well as introduce new public lighting and CCTV.

Meath County Council has concluded from a screening determination that there is "no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required."

Meath County Council have also said:

"Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment."
