'Up the hill' for Jack and Jill at Emerald Park

Emerald Park has teamed up with children’s charity Jack and Jill for an exciting adventure event taking place on Friday, August 25th from 10am to 3pm.

Emerald Park will host ‘Jack and Jill’s Explore at the Park,’ a captivating treasure hunt trail that aims to support the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation's ‘Up The Hill,’ challenge.

‘Jack and Jill’s Explore at the Park’ gives families not only a day of entertainment and fun at the park, but also the chance to contribute to a meaningful cause. This fundraiser is dedicated to the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation's ‘Up The Hill,’ challenge, which focuses on raising funds for children with highly complex and life-limiting medical conditions.

With every €18 adult registration fee, participants will be funding one hour of essential in-home nursing care and end-of-life support for children up to the age of six.

Jack and Jill's service provides in-home nursing care, respite support and end-of-life care for children from birth to six years of age who have highly complex and life-limiting medical conditions.

Their mission is to empower parents to care for their child at home, because there is no care like home care for a Jack and Jill child.

Here’s how to join the event:

*On your marks! Register your support at www.jackandjill.ie for just €18 per adult

*Get set! Organise your ‘Explore at the Park’ trip and get your friends and family involved – the more support the better and its all in aid of fun so shout about it and spread the word!

*Go! Book your Emerald Park tickets for Friday August 25th at bookings.emeraldpark.ie and take on our treasure trail challenge at the park – whether you try out a rollercoaster lift hill, take a stroll on the wild side through our zoo, or simply brave one of our attractions, it all counts!

On the day, registered participants will receive a treasure trail map featuring key areas around the park. As you explore, there will be stations manned by Jack & Jill volunteers. At each station, you can tick off the completed zones and collect memorable stickers as you go along. The self-directed trail encourages you to craft your unique journey through the park. By the end of the trail, participants will aim to achieve the 10,000-step target for an even more rewarding experience.

For added excitement, there will be a base location within the park where the Jack and Jill team will have a pop-up filled with activities and will be offering spot prizes. This presents an excellent opportunity to connect with the team, learn about their impactful work, and participate in the event's festivities.

‘Jack and Jill’s Explore at the Park,’ promises a day filled with memories, community engagement, and the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children in need.
