Black Bush get ready to stage fundraiser for Gary Kelly Centre

Annual inter-county competition in support of the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre to take place in Black Bush Golf Club on Sunday 3rd September

Black Bush Golf Club, Dunshaughlin will proudly host its annual fundraiser to support the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre in Drogheda on Sunday 3rd September.

Every year, club members and visitors always give overwhelming support through competition entry fees, donations, raffle entries, attendance at the post competition event and auction bidding. Players come from all over the country including the North to compete each year.

There will be prizes for men, women and mixed teams on the day. The winning county team will be awarded the 'WellBeing Memorial' trophy. An auction will take place on the day for people to bid on an official Augusta Masters flag autographed by the 2023 Masters winner John Rahm kindly donated by Black Bush Golf Club member and professional caddy, Mark Duffy.

Organiser Gerry Flanagan said he looked forward to this year’s event which will include a full schedule of clubhouse auction, raffle, and prize giving at the end of the day.

Fundraisers such as the annual inter-county day provides much needed funds for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre which assist with the financing of the cost of therapists and overheads at their centre in Drogheda. This enables the centre to provide much needed services to cancer patients free of charge.

Black Bush Golf club and all its members are delighted to support such a worthwhile cause while acknowledging the excellent work and supports the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre provides to individuals suffering with cancer and their families.
