Two appearances for Gibbstown band at Picnic
InBetween Honey are set to grace the Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally, Co Laois for the second time playing a set on the Trailer Park Stage on Friday 1st September at 12.30pm followed by a performance on the Art Lot stage at 2.30pm on Saturday.
The band based in Gibbstown made up of four school friends who attended O'Carolan College, Nobber. Dylan Hickey, Blayne Moran and brothers Matty and JohnPaul Melady have had an incredibly busy year, releasing their debut EP 'Ludlow Street' in March followed up with a headline show in Whelan's where Pat Courtney of Radio Nova introduced the band onstage, and a slot at Hinterland Festival in Kells in June.
The EP has been critically acclaimed by RTÉ and IMRO leading to airplay of Ludlow Street on RTÉ 2FM by Dan Hegarty. Ludlow Street tells the story of ones adventure to an establishment well known in Navan and beyond about a persons search for that true spark.
With the band now set to rock the Picnic yet again, it leads on to a busy year with shows booked in Belfast, Lurgan, Galway, Cork, Drogheda, Dundalk, Thurles and a trip to the UK all in the near distance the next few months are going to be one of anticipation. The group is also set to release a new single this side of Christmas.
