Navan Mother-Daughter duo play in the Leinster League

Navan RFC reached a milestone with the club’s first mother-daughter combination on the field.

Mary-Louise Quinn and Tara Quinn were a part of the historic victory Navan had in their Leinster League game against Birr recently.

Tara Quinn played her first senior game of the Leinster League having come through the Navan RFC youth system having only taken up rugby at the age of 12.

She was joined on the pitch by her mother Mary-Louise who took up rugby in 2021 and has had a massive love for the game for years.

Navan RFC secured a 27-12 win over Athy and a 17-5 win over Birr on Sunday 24th.

The club congratulated the entire team on their achievements and expressed their excitement to see the mother-daughter duo "link up on the rugby pitch for the rest of the season ahead".
